Mike Law preached from Luke 1v1-4 where Luke explains why and how he wrote this Gospel. Mike spoke of the reliability of Scripture: talking about the time in which Luke did his research and writing, the way of telling stories in New Testament times being to enable people to remember them easily and the accuracy of people's memories in those days. He also looked into the issue of bias within the Gospels. This, he explained, is totally normal and actually unavoidable in historical writing. He finished by challenging us: - Are we willing to read God's Word? - Are we willing to learn it and ask questions of it? - Are we willing to obey it?
